Archaelogical Museum of Athens, considered one of the best in the World.

Our great adventure continues with a visit to the Musical Instrument Museum
which exhibits a wide variety of Greek musical instruments both modern and old.
See popular and folk instruments in their many diverse forms. Continue to the
Athens Concert Hall for a tour of the facility guided by a resident expert. The
afternoon is on our own. We enjoy dinner at our hotel. Life is good!

The Prestigious Athens American College is our destination for today. We tour
the facilities and then we are privileged to be able to present a concert here
(Subject to confirmation). Balance of day is at leisure to shop Syntagma Square
or the Plaka. Overnight is in Athens.
Day 6
Nauplion City Hall. Enjoy breakfast and depart Athens for a 2 day tour to
Nauplion. Along the way we stop at Corinth, one of the most celebrated cities of
antiquity. Corinth's remains stand at the foot of the Acrocorintho Mountain. The
Greek Temple here is one of the oldest remains in Greece having been built
around 600 BC. Nearby we find the Roman Odeon and Theater. Next we venture to
Mycenae, built in military fortifications and set in a boulder strewn ravine.
The citadel here is dated 1200 BC or older ( no one knows for sure). Continue to
one of Greece's little known treasures, Nauplion. A fairyland of neoclassic
homes, streets, and Turkish fountains this will be our home for the evening. See
the Turkish Mosque and visit and outdoor cafe in this charming village. A very
special treat awaits us as we visit Nauplion City Hall for a meeting with the
mayor and present a concerto to an audience of dignitaries and students. What
great exposure for a promising young musician.
Day 7
Epidaurus. Enjoy another breakfast in the warm Greek air and depart for
Epidaurus. This sanctuary of very old Greece, was a religious curiosity. Today
we step into the jewel of Epidaurus, the Roman Theater. Its beauty is well
preserved considering it was built over sixteen hundred years ago. It is
interesting to note that a whisper from the orchestra can be heard from any of
the 14,000 seats. Check it out! This marvel of engineering is still in use
today. Perhaps one day you will return to perform here in front of an excited
and amazed European audience! Return to Athens for dinner and overnight. Enjoy
another warm Mediterranean evening stroll.
Day 8
Saronic Gulf Cruise. What a day! Board our cruise vessel at
Paleon Faliron Pier at 8:30 a.m. and set sails for the beautiful islands of
Aegina (famous for Pistachio Nuts), Poros (postcard harbor and towns) and, after
lunch on board, we visit Hydra (an artist's delight with a charming waterfront
and cafes).
Day 9

to the side of Mount Parnassus with an incredible view of the waters of the Gulf
of Corinth. It was the religious center of Ancient Greece (Cults thrived here)
and it is well known that prophets determined the fate of many an ancient city
here. Walk the Sacred Way and see the Castalian Spring and the Sanctuary of
Athena. See the temple of Apollo and visit the museum where the famed Bronze
Charioteer resides. We return to Athens.
