7 Day Theater and Culture Tour
London – Bath –
Stonehenge – Stratford – Windsor Castle - Oxford
Explore the charms of a great city on the go,
as well as the charming English countryside. We include theater in London as
well as Shakespeare's Birthplace. World-class Museums, the Financial District,
Historical sights and filming sights of the Harry Potter Movie! There is so much
to see and do in England!
Day 1
Flight to London. Enjoy our wide body overnight service to the Capital of
England.
Day 2
London. Arrive in London. We are greeted at the airport and transferred to our
hotel. Unpack your bags and get ready to enjoy London and its many fascinating
museums, parks and attractions. Time permitting step out for a walking tour to
acquaint ourselves with the vicinity and get our first glimpse of life in this
great European city. How about a visit to the Globe Theater?
Day 3
Our tour guide will introduce us to the famous landmarks of the city on the
Thames. Visit the National Gallery, and very nearby, Trafalgar Square. Walk the
Strand and see the changing of the Royal Guard at Buckingham Palace (when
available), Royal Albert Hall, Big Ben, and the Houses of Parliament. After the
tour, how about a walk through St. James Park, Hyde Park or, perhaps, some
shopping. A fascinating "Jack the Ripper Tour" will be arranged for
the evening in "Old London Town". Optionally we can arrange a
"Ghosts of London" tour that is absolutely intriguing.
Day 4 The
city of Bath. Our deluxe motor coach delivers us West to Salisbury (with its
mighty Gothic Cathedral). Continue on to intriguing Stonehenge. Who placed
massive stones here 35 centuries ago? Can you solve the mystery? Our busy day
continues as we arrive in the ancient old Roman town of Bath to view its Roman
Baths and Pumphouse. Tour one of England's most beautiful towns. Overnight
nearby. Wow!
Day 5
Stratford. Enjoy breakfast and depart for Shakespeare country. In
Stratford-Upon-Avon we visit the birthplace of Shakespeare and have the
opportunity to see one of his memorable plays. Later, we venture on to Windsor
Castle, the world's largest inhabited Castle. Home of the Monarchs for 900 years
it has Gargoyles and Pinnacles, and many ancient and inspiring paintings. Be
sure to climb down into the torture dungeon and read the inscriptions on the
wall by former residents! Walk in the footsteps of William the Conqueror who
inhabited the castle in 1066.
Day 6 Return
to London via the University town of Oxford. Admires its many spires. Perhaps
you'll return here one day to attend one of the oldest and most prestigious
colleges in the world. Late return to London, the capital of England.
Day 7
Enjoy the flight home. Dream about
the lucky day you return to London.
