Day 1 Begin our incredible journey. We arrange the overnight flight to London,
England.
Day 2
Arrive in London. Our group is welcomed by our tour guide and escorted by
private motor coach to our hotel. We are given a light introduction to the
sights of London. Overnight in central London.
Day 3 Our London City tour includes the Tower of London to see the Crown Jewels, the
incredible British Museum (including the Rosetta Stone), Picadilly Circus,
Trafalgar Square, National Museum and more. O/N London.
Day 4 Full day tour to Bath includes a visit to the ancient Pumphouse and Bath house.
Touch the water that has been flowing here for almost 2 thousand years. The
souvenir shops may sell Roman coins that are up to 1500 years old for a few
dollars each! Next, our great adventure finds us at the incredible spectacle of
Stonehenge. The massive stones of Stonehenge were left here thousands of years
ago and still remain in a shroud of mystery. The very first traces of
civilization date back 5,000 years. Return to London exhausted by a very
rewarding travel day.
Day 5 Depart for Northern France on Eurostar through the infamous Chunnel. Arrive in
Paris with time for an afternoon walking tour. Ascend to the top of the Eiffel
Tower for an incredible view of the most popular city anywhere.
Day 6 Enjoy a city tour that will see the world’s most famous museum, the Louvre
(take photos of Mona Lisa), Jardins Tuileries, University District, Notre Dame
Cathedral on the Isle de la Cite, and much more. Of course we have time for
strolling and shopping on the Champs Elysees. This evening we can take the
funicular up to the Basilica Sacre Coeur for great views of Paris. Overnight in
central Paris.
Day 7 Nine miles southwest of Paris is the Palace of Versailles which is one of the
largest and most opulent Palaces ever built. Built by Louis XIV it took a
half-century to build and features beautiful grounds, fountains and gardens.
Return to Paris and visit the Pere LeChaise cemetery where many famous people
are buried. Cher has bid for the gravesight of Jim Morrison once his body is
exhumed and returned to the United States. Overnight in Paris.
Day 8 Time
for some last minute sightseeing and then we depart
for Rome by air. Arrive in Rome with time for a tour of hotel vicinity.
Overnight in Rome.
Day 9 Roma! A very full day introduces us to the Vatican, Sistine Chapel, and
the Vatican Art Gallery. Cross the Tiber to visit the Piazza di Spagna and the
famous Spanish Steps (you'll be surprised who built them). Throw a coin into
Trevi Fountain and make a wish. No visit to Rome would be complete without
seeing the Pantheon and nearby Piazza Campo dei Fiori (its open-air food market
may be open). O/N Rome.
Day 10
Visit the Roman Forum, Arch of Titus, the Colosseum, the Arch of Constantine,
Circus Maximus and other timeless monuments and temples. What an incredible day
to tell friends back home about. O/N Rome.
Day 11
Transfer to train station and enjoy the pleasant rail journey to Florence (may
be facilitated by motor coach). Enjoy a walking tour, which visits the Academia.
Here we shall see "David", Michelangelo's masterpiece, as well as the
Palestrina Pieta. Visit Duomo and Piazza Della Signoria, Ponte Vecchio, and
Giotto's Bell Tower. Return to Rome for our last overnight in Europe.
Day 12
We are transferred to Leonardo Da Vinci Airport for our flight home.
