England and the Netherlands  -  11 Days

 

 

 

Sport and sightseeing tours – Wembley - soccer games with local teams - pro matches!

Day 1  We arrange the overnight flight from your gateway to glorious London, England.  Transfer from the airport, settle into our hotel and step out this evening for our first taste of life in the great country of England.

Day 2  Early afternoon arrival likely. Group is met at the airport and transferred to Shrewsbury via Stratford-Upon Avon (lunch stop). Dinner and evening at leisure. Overnight hotel (we can arrange homestay) Shrewsbury area.

Day 3  Training session with local coach. Visit the town of Shrewsbury and even meet the mayor! Visit the local Professional club. Enjoy a match against a local youth team in Shrewsbury. Overnight hotel or homestay.

Day 4  Excursion to Liverpool or Manchester. Visit the ground and trophy room of a major club. If possible we will arrange a meeting with players and staff. Enjoy a second match with a local youth team. Overnight local tourist class hotel as chosen or homestay.

Day 5  Transfer to London via Wembley Stadium with a visit (Stadium visit is subject to renovations). Check into London Hotel. In the evening partake in a "Clinic" that covers tactics, coaching, sport injuries, referees and more OR attend a professional match. Overnight London hotel.

Day 6  Full day sightseeing tour of London. A visit to a major club such as Highbury should be possible. Visit the London theater or a pro match. Overnight London hotel.

Day 7  Visit Greenwich. Visit a professional training session (such as Charlton Athletic). Enjoy yet another match with a local youth team from the Greenwich area.

Day 8  Transfer to Amsterdam across the English Channel via ferry. Check into hotel in Amsterdam with Dinner and an evening tour. See Dam Square and be wary of bicycles as they are a popular mode of transport here.

Day 9  Enjoy sightseeing in Amsterdam with an optional canal tour. Amsterdam is famous for its many concentric rings of canals. Many people live on the canals. Visit a pro club such as Ajax and attend a professional football match in the Amsterdam or Rotterdam area. Overnight hotel in Amsterdam.

Day 10  Our motor coach departs Amsterdam for an excursion to a cheese producing city such as Gouda, the porcelain factory at Delft, a Dutch windmill, Volendam and more.

Day 11  Transfer to Amsterdam Schiphol Airport for return journey.
