England and France
Day
1 We arrange the overnight flight from our gateway to lively
London, England.
Day 2
Early
afternoon arrival likely. Group is met at the airport and transferred to
Shrewsbury via Stratford-Upon Avon (lunch stop). Dinner and evening at leisure.
Overnight hotel or homestay in Shrewsbury area.
Day 3
Training
session with local coach. Visit the town of Shrewsbury and even meet the mayor!
Visit the local Professional club. Enjoy a match against a local youth team in
Shrewsbury.
Day 4
Excursion
to Liverpool or Manchester. Visit the ground and trophy room of a major club. If
possible we will arrange a meeting with players and staff. Enjoy a second match
with a local youth team. Overnight at hotel or homestay as chosen.
Day 5 Transfer to
London and step into famous Wembley Stadium (subject to availability) Check into
our London hotel. In the evening partake in a "Clinic" that covers
tactics, coaching, sport injuries, referees and more OR attend a professional
match. Overnight London hotel (central location).
Day 6 Full day
sightseeing tour of London. A visit to a major club such as Highbury should be
possible. Visit the London theater or a pro match. Overnight London hotel.
Day 7 Visit
Greenwich with general sightseeing. Visit a professional training session (such
as Charlton Athletic). Enjoy yet another match with a local youth team from the
Greenwich area.
Day 8 Transfer to
Paris across the English Channel via ferry with a short stop in Canterbury.
Check into hotel in Paris with dinner and evening tour. Transfer via Eurostar
through the Chunnel can be arranged instead.
Day 9
Enjoy
sightseeing in Paris which would include stepping into the World Cup
"98" Stadium. Attend a professional football match in the Paris area.
In the evening enjoy an optional Bateaux Mouches tour or visit the grand lady of
architecture, Tour Eiffel.
Day 10
Leave Paris
for an excursion to the opulent and massive Palace of Versailles. Stop in
Chartres to see the beautiful Cathedral. The color Chartres Blue is named after
the stained glass set into the great walls of this magnificent Cathedral.
Christians come from around the world to see the "Shroud of Mary"
within.
Day 11
Transfer to
Charles de Gaulles Airport for return journey.
The Paris youth hotel is located in the "La Defense district" of
Paris. It is a terrific and tested property for students and has a discotheque
which will help with keeping the students busy in the evenings.
Additional days can be added to the tour for very nominal cost - perhaps a
free day in Paris or London for shopping would be nice. Extra "free
days" can often be arranged for as little as $60 per day.
Sport Tours can be arranged
in many European countries including Germany! We even arrange sport tours in Cuba which are challenging, cultural
and very affordable. Flights are via Vancouver, Edmonton, Montreal or Toronto, Canada!
