Cuba has been, from the times of the first indigenous peoples who inhabited the island, a stained glass window of human expression. Sport, painting, music, architecture, dance and ethnic diversity have blessed Cuba with a color and charm that is all its own.

Day 1  Flight to Varadero or Havana, Cuba via Toronto Canada. Arrive and transfer to our hotel in Havana for the next 5 nights. Our convenient hotel location allows us the freedom to enjoy walking tours of the area.

Days 2-5   Havana. We have two half-days and two full days of volleyball workshops and match play with Cuban Athletes of similar age. All transportation is included. Volleyball match play will be tailored to the needs of our group. On the evening of day 5 participants of both countries are invited to get together for a disco evening where new friendships can be reinforced.

Days 6-7   Western Cuba! Two full days introduce us to the Sierra del Rosario Biosphere Reserve. Admire the diverse wildlife and the diverse geological formations. Unique to this valley are the knoll-like hills that date from the Jurassic Period. We visit Santo Tomas Cave, the second largest in the Americas with 47 kilometers length. The stalactite, stalagmite, column and concertina formations are astounding. With a little luck we will see large eyed blind frogs. We stop briefly at Moncada, a quaint small town flanked by hills and cliffs. Here we find the monument to the Malagones, one of the key families in Cuba to organize the liberation movement. Day 8  A full day excursion to paradise is the order of the day. Travel to Cayo Levisa on the north coast of Pinar del Rio. Perfectly clear waters wash 6 kilometers of white sand beaches. Enjoy snorkeling on the coral reef. Seafood lunch is included. Return to Havana in the afternoon.

Day 9  Our great adventure continues in Trinidad City. This colonial town was founded in 1514. Hernando Cortez stood here and organized his troops for the invasion of the Aztec Empire. Our overnight hotel is located only a few short blocks to the town square. Overnight Trinidad City.

Day 10  Visit Trinidad City including the museum to learn about colonial life in Cuba. This evening we enjoy informal Salsa lessons at Casa de la Trova. Overnight Trinidad City Hotel.

Day 11  Transfer to Varadero Beach. Our hotel is close to the beach and we are free to visit one of the world’s best beaches. Overnight Varadero Hotel.

Day 12-13  We enjoy two free days in Varadero and can try optional sports such as kayaking, snorkeling etc. Overnight Varadero Hotel.

Day 14  We transfer to the airport for our journey home.
