Day 1
Today our introduction to many of the wonders of
Costa
Rica
begins with arrival in
San
Jose
where we are met and transferred to the Best Western Irazú Hotel. (2
nights)
Day 2
We begin discovering
Costa
Rica’s
wonders with Poas Volcano, the biggest geyser crater in the world. A scenic
drives past coffee and sugar plantations, bring us to the summit of amazing Poas
Volcano
National
Park
.
Observe the enormous crater with its deep green lake, hike into one of its
many trails at this national Park. Then visit Sarchí, the artesian town known
for it's wood work and oxcart factories. Breakfast at hotel. Snack & lunch included during the tour.
Day 3
This is the favorite day of most visitors to Costa Rica.
Our exciting journey takes us up to the majestic Arenal Volcano, the country's
most active with continuous eruptions, and includes a visit to the
rejuvenating Tabacon Hot Springs, then another chance to gaze at the volcano
by night. Accommodation at Tabacon
Resort Hotel or similar ( 2 nights). Breakfast
at hotel & dinner included during the tour.
Day 4
Discover one of
Costa
Rica's
most important conservation areas at Caño Negro Wildlife Reserve. Cruise down a jungle river, and observe numerous species of birds and
wildlife. Let
the sounds and smells of the jungle permeate your mind. Breakfast
at hotel & lunch included during the tour.
Day
5
Enjoy a very scenic drive over the mountains and down to the Central
Pacific
Coast. Jaco Beach Hotel will be our base of exploration for the next 2 nights.
(Transfer will be done using regular scheduled transportation). Breakfast
& lunch included.
Day 6
Manuel
Antonio
National
Park,
considered by many to be Costa
Rica
's
most beautiful park, is on today's
agenda, awaiting us with its white sandy beaches, tropical foliage and
wildlife. Soft drinks will be offered on the beach. Breakfast at hotel
& lunch included during the tour.
Day
7
Early morning walk through Carara
National
Park.
We feature a morning walk with a naturalist tour guide. Discover
the wonders of this transitional tropical forest, home of the scarlet
macaw. This afternoon we depart for San
Jose
,
staying the last night at the Best Western Irazú. Breakfast included.
Day 8
Farewell to Costa Rica. We transfer out to the international airport. Breakfast included.
