Northeast "Science is Fun" Tour
Science History and Culture
Boston – New York – Philadelphia - Baltimore – Washington DC - Arlington

Day 1 We arrange air flights or motor coach transportation to Boston Massachusetts. We are greeted by our friendly tour director upon arrival and transfer to our hotel.

Day 2 Begin our science journey at the Boston Museum of Science. This afternoon we visit Harvard University and MIT, as time allows. Dinner will be provided, after which we will visit the John Hancock Observatory with its magnificent views.

Day 3 Check-out of the hotel this morning. Visit the New England Aquarium, Quincy Marketplace, Faneuil Hall. Depart in the afternoon for New York City. Check-in to our hotel with dinner provided. This evening we step out for an easy walking tour of world famous Manhattan.

Day 4 We begin our day with a ferry ride to visit the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island. After returning to Battery Park, there will be time at South Street Seaport, to purchase lunch. Visit the great Intrepid-Sea-Air-Space Museum this afternoon. Dinner and a Broadway Show will be provided tonight.

Day 5 Check-out of our hotel early this morning. See the World Trade Center Memorial Sight, Empire State Building and tour the United Nations before departing for Philadelphia.

Day 6 Today we step inside the Franklin Institute Science Museum in the morning and the Academy of Natural Sciences this afternoon. Dinner is included.

Day 7 Check-out of our hotel. Begin the morning with a stop at the Visitors Center, enjoy the movie, "Independence". See the Liberty Bell and learn the history of Independence Hall. We have time to purchase lunch on our own before departing for the Washington/Baltimore area. (travel time approximately 2 1/2 hours). A meal voucher will be provided for dinner. Enjoy an evening monument and memorial tour. Check-in to our DC area hotel this evening.

Day 8 This morning visit the Smithsonian (we can arrange a guided tour) and walk the MALL. If all members of the group are 16 years of age and older with a photo ID, we’ll request a tour of the Pentagon. Requests can also be made for a tour of the FBI. If time allows we will visit Arlington National Cemetery, Ford’s Theater and the Petersen House. A meal voucher will be provided for dinner or how about a fascinating interactive murder mystery presentation at the Kennedy Center.
Day 9
Check-out of our hotel and head for the NASA Goddard Space Center where we will enjoy a guided tour. Transfer by motor coach home or transfer to the airport for the flight home.
